Camp Stoves (Cooks and Heats)

This beautiful 70 pound stove measures 12"x12"x26" and is made of durable 1018 hot-rolled steel. The floor is 10 gauge while the sides (and all else) are 12-gauge. The cooking surface is 12/12 with an additional 12/10 raised warming surface. The opening to the firebox is 9" wide and 6 1/2" high. The firebox itself is two cubic feet. These measurements prove to accommodate a generous load of wood or coal and a long-lasting fire.

The McCann Outbacker Stove features a large aluminum draft control allowing almost infinite settings. The aluminum dial is arranged to allow the firebox door to stay relatively cool.

Another great feature is a heatilator for processing cold air into warm in case you are using the stove for tent or cabin warmth. The McCann heatilator consists of three steel tubes of two inch diameter which pick up air at the bottom rear of the stove, travel 29 inches up the back and over the fire within, then expel hot air through the three vents at the front and above the firebox door. During actual cold night tests you could feel the hot air being expelled. You can close the heatilator with a sliding door if you wish to reduce room temperature.

The stove stands on four 24-inch legs that may be cut to a desirable length depending upon where it is located. The legs fit into reinforced sockets made of 10 gauge steel and have feet for secure leveling. The legs actually store within the stove for transportation or they can be carried separately, as well as the removable door and warming plate.

These outbacker camp stoves are Made in America with durable welded steel constructionand built with a carrying handle for portability. These stoves are equipped with a three pipe heatalator. When opened the heatalator converts the stove from just cooking to a room heater as well. Comes equipped with four inch smoke flu, three inch air intake, removable warming plate, removeable door, reinforced floor, reinforced leg sockets and four legs that store inside.
